Every cat adopted from City Cat Shelter is neutered before going to their new home. It's included in your adoption donation.
Neutering prevents unwanted litters, protects against some cancers and infections, and often makes cats calmer and less likely to roam or fight. It's one of the kindest things you can do for your cat.
Fewer unwanted litters
One unneutered female can be responsible for thousands of kittens over her lifetime. Many end up in shelters like ours.
Healthier cats
Neutering reduces the risk of some cancers and infections, and cuts down fighting, roaming, and spraying.
